TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These Terms and Conditions “Terms” govern the access and or use of the Black Startups Inc. website, apps and related contents and services (Site) and are subject to change from time to time and your continued used of the Site after such changes indicates your consent to such changes.
Additional terms /policies may apply to certain Services, events, activities or promotions, and such terms will be disclosed to you in connection with the applicable Services. Additional terms /policies will prevail over more general terms in case of conflict.
The Services
The Site constitutes a technology platform that provides business and professional services, directly and also through third party service providers, focused on enabling entrepreneurs from the Black Community to start and grow their own businesses.
Intellectual Property
Our Content
All content published and made available on our Site is the property of the Site and the Site’s creators. This includes, but is not limited to images, text, logos, documents, downloadable files and anything that contributes to the composition of our Site.
Your Content
Some of our Services allow you to submit content. You retain ownership of any intellectual property rights that you hold in that content.
However, when you upload or otherwise submit content to our Services, you give Black Startups Inc. (and those we work with) a worldwide license to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, create derivative works (such as those resulting from translations, adaptations or other changes we make so that your content works better with our Services), communicate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute such content. The rights you grant in this license are for the limited purpose of operating, promoting, and improving our Services, and to develop new ones.
Age Restrictions
The minimum age to use our Site is 18 years old. By using this Site, users agree that they are over 18 years old. We do not assume any legal responsibility for false statements about age.

As a user of our Site, you agree to use our Site legally, not to use our Site for illegal purposes, and not to:

Subscriptions
Subscriptions automatically renew and you will be automatically billed until we receive notification that you want to cancel the subscription.
To cancel your subscription, please follow these steps: Cancel at anytime and you will not be billed for the following month.
Third Party Goods and Services
Our Site may offer goods and services from third parties. The vendors on our Site are mainly third parties. We cannot guarantee the quality or accuracy of goods and services made available by third parties on our Site.
Consumer Protection Law
Where any consumer protection legislation in your jurisdiction applies and cannot be excluded, these Terms and Conditions will not limit your legal rights and remedies under that legislation. These Terms and Conditions will be read subject to the mandatory provisions of that legislation. If there is a conflict between these Terms and Conditions and that legislation, the mandatory provisions of the legislation will apply.

Our Site contains links to third party websites or services that we do not own or control. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party website or service linked to on our Site. Black Startups Inc. and our directors, officers, agents, employees, subsidiaries, and affiliates will not be liable for any actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses including legal fees from your use of the Site.
Indemnity
Except where prohibited by law, by using this Site you indemnify and hold harmless Black Startups Inc. and our directors, officers, agents, employees, subsidiaries, and affiliates from any actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses including legal fees arising out of your use of our Site or your violation of these Terms and Conditions.
Applicable Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario.
Severability
If at any time any of the provisions set forth in these Terms and Conditions are found to be inconsistent or invalid under applicable laws, those provisions will be deemed void and will be removed from these Terms and Conditions. All other provisions will not be affected by the removal and the rest of these Terms and Conditions will still be considered valid.
