Blackstartups.ca is the online platform of Black Startups Inc., a company which provides a business and professional services marketplace, with multiple service providers, and a business and social networking hub for the support of Black Entrepreneurs /Black Business Owners.
The Platform will initially focus on supporting Black Entrepreneurs, in Ontario, to start and or grow their businesses by accessing funding under the Canadian Government Black Entrepreneurship Loan Program.
Approximately half of the Black population in Canada lives in Ontario, making the province a good choice for our initial focus. The 2016 Census statistics revealed that Ontario had 627,710 (52.4%) of the total of 1,198,540 persons of African descent resident in Canada.
